How do i maintain the lower differently colored side panels of my chevrolet captiva?

I own a chevrolet captiva (black), and I find that the lower door panels that is colored grey is fading, how do i maintain the color? the suv is only one year old.|||wash and wax it will get the paint more shining and smooth and i bet it will last as long as it does not have rust near it
