Is Chevrolet automobile company asking for loans from the government?

When was the last time the Chevrolet Camaro was made?|||GM asked for federal money. The new Camaro is due out in 2009 or 10. The prototype was introduced in 2007.|||Yes.

Last model year was 2002.

They will be available again in April 2009.|||chevy still part of GM? there is supposed to be a new camaro in a couple years....maybe|||Chevy is part of GM, so yes they are requesting money via GM. They also make a lot more than the Camaro.|||Yes, and it won't matter if they get one or not. They will still go out of business. They build crap now, and should be allowed to fade away.

Ford hasn't asked for, nor received one penny of money from the government. I have always been a Chevy man, but no more. Chevy and GM are exactly why this country is where it is today, and Ford is what it always has been.....a true American icon born and built on sweat and ingenuity, not the taxpayer's dime.|||No, Chevrolet isn't asking for money, the parent corporation, General Motors is, however.

Ford isn't currently asking for money.

Perhaps the mismanagement at GM should prohibit them from getting any taxpayer dollars.

Rewarding failure will only produce more failure.|||Yes, 2002, the new Camaro has been canceled as part of their restructuring plan.
