What is the difference between Chevrolet Express 3500 and 1500?

I am looking into buying a Chevrolet Express and was wondering the difference between the 1500 and 3500 besides the price. Does it have to do with the loading capacity?|||Bigger number = higher capacity.|||The 1500 is rated for a 1/2 ton (1,000 lbs) while the 3500 is rated for a full 1Ton load or 2,000 lbs. The price difference has a great deal to do with the heavier chassis, suspension engine and braking system on the 3500.|||The 1500 series is a half ton truck. The 2500 is a three quarter ton, and the 3500 is a one ton.

The 1500 series will get better fuel mileage than heavier ones. And it is loading capacity|||About 1500 lbs of curb weight and a lot of cargo/towing capacity. Bigger number = higher capacity.|||yes the loading capacity
