Does the symbol for Chevrolet have any meaning, or is it just a symbol that represents Chevrolet?

Sometimes corporate symbols are designed to also convey meaning, more than just an identification with the corporation. I simply wondered if this was the case with Chevrolet. If so, what is that meaning?|||I read once that it was a design element in wallpaper in a hotel that Durant visited in France ... "Chevrolet first used its "bowtie"[1] logo in 1913. This logo is said to have been designed from wallpaper Durant once saw in a French hotel. Another theory of the design of the mark is from the Swiss cross, because Louis Chevrolet was from Switzerland." from Wikipedia|||Barbera is correct it was a wall paper design it was liked so much that they decided to use it for their logo
